Wes Hunting Colorfield Vessel Series (Pink/Purple) Hand-Blown Glass Sculpture

Regular price $1,100.00

Description

A hand-blown glass vessel from the Colorfield Vessel series by Wes Hunting, executed circa the 1990s. Etched signature on underside. The vessel features layered pink and purple glass with embedded murrine elements and applied trailing lines in a contrasting tone. The form tapers toward the base with a gently flared rim, emphasizing surface pattern and color transitions typical of the series. Fabricated using hand-blown studio glass techniques, it reflects Hunting’s focus on color layering, surface movement, and controlled form. This work represents Hunting’s Colorfield approach and a collectable example of American studio glass and late 20th-century glass vessels. Provenance: From the estate of a prominent glass collector in Southfield, MI. Dimensions: 10”h x 8”w x 8”d. In very good condition. Full condition reports available upon request. Wes Hunting is an American studio glass artist associated with the Pacific Northwest glass movement. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in public and private collections, including museum and academic collections. Hunting is recognized for his technical control of color and form and for his participation in major glass exhibitions and studio programs during the late 20th century.
