A modern oil painting on board by American artist Thad Miller (1933-1986). Signed and noted "Somerset 1978" on the bottom right corner. An intriguing and surreal artwork featuring a nude woman bending into an artwork an an easel. Water pours out of the painting's pond, creating a trompe-l'oeil effect. A fascinating painting that elicits conversation. Miller painted thousands of paintings in his lifetime. A number of Miller's paintings have appeared in various auctions, including his 1969 Psych Beatles - an oil on Masonite or plywood depicting elements of The Beatles, Eric Clapton, and Janis Joplin. Some of his art, such as the Realist Horse, have been turned into Goodwill Industries and auctioned off by them. From a private collection.
