An example of Scandinavian modern glass design, the “Solaris” bowl (model 2201-245) was designed by renowned Finnish master Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala. The organic, softly flared form features a richly textured, ice-like surface that captures and diffuses light beautifully, characteristic of Wirkkala’s nature-inspired aesthetic. Executed in thick art glass with a subtly irregular rim, the bowl embodies the refined craftsmanship and sculptural sensibility that made Wirkkala one of the most celebrated figures in 20th-century Nordic design. A timeless and collectible example of Finnish modern design. From a private collection. Dimensions: 5.25”h x 10”w x 10”d. Retains original Iittala “Solaris” box (wear consistent with age). Bowl is in good vintage condition with no noted cracks or chips.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
