"Satchmo" captures the legendary jazz musician Louis Armstrong in the artist’s unmistakable postmodern style. Rendered in bold, saturated tones of red, blue, yellow, and green, Armstrong's iconic smile and trumpet are stylized with graphic clarity, while the word "Satchmo" arcs across the upper corner in dynamic typography. Chwast's playful yet powerful portrait exemplifies his celebrated ability to reinterpret cultural icons through a graphic design lens.
