Set of 8 Giancarlo Piretti Plia Folding Chairs for Castelli Vintage Italian
A set of 8 vintage "Plia" folding chairs by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli. This super chic set of chairs feature a polished steel frame and acrylic white seats and backs. The Plia chair was originally designed by Piretti for Castelli in 1967. The chair was an instant hit when originally presented at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1967. The chair's very clean lines, quality materials, and unique 3 disc pivot design set the stage for the future popularity and versatility of the Plia folding chair. This particular set is in good vintage condition. Each of the chairs feature some wear to the frames and some discoloration to the white acrylic, but are overall in good vintage condition. They each measure 29.5 inches tall, 18.5 inches wide, and 19 inches deep. It has a seat height of 17.25 inches, a seat width of 16 inches, a seat depth of 16 inches, and a back height of 13 inches. Folded up, it measures 34.75 inches tall, 18.5 inches wide, and 2.25 inches thick.
