A vibrant screenprint on paper titled "Room for Rent" by German-American artist Richard Lindner. Hand signed in pencil on the lower right with an annotation of 69/150 on the lower left. Richard Lindner (1901–1978) was a German-American painter and printmaker associated with Pop Art and figurative modernism. After emigrating to the United States in 1941, he developed a highly recognizable style characterized by bold colors, graphic forms, and psychologically charged figures. His work was featured in major international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale, and is held in the collections of prominent institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Tate. Today, Lindner is regarded as a significant voice in postwar American art, celebrated for his unique fusion of Pop imagery, social commentary, and urban culture.
