Rare Vintage John Hutton for Donghia Block Island Woven Rattan Sofa
A rare "Block Island" sofa by John Hutton for Donghia. This absolutely gorgeous sofa features a very unique fully woven rattan body frame. The woven pieces spread across the entire sofa, front to back, bottom to top. It has a lovely light wood coloration, and sits very sturdily. The sofa has a set of three seat cushions and set of three back cushions, all of which are fully removable. The cushions are upholstered in a very soft striped fabric, with a multicolored pastel-like coloration, and filled with a very plush down filling. Underneath the cushions is a anti-slip mat so the cushions stay seated in place. This whole sofa is in very good vintage condition. It features original tagging on the slip mat, as well as the Donghia name burned into the underside frame as pictured. This sofa measures 32 inches tall, 36 inches wide, and 88.5 inches long. It has a seat height of 16 inches, a seat depth of 22 inches, an arm height of 7 inches, a back height of 16 inches, and a seat width of 72 inches.
