Max has received numerous honors, including commissions from six U.S. Presidents, and was the Official Artist of the 1994 Grammy Awards, the 2006 U.S. Winter Olympic Team, and multiple Super Bowls, World Cups, and the Statue of Liberty Centennial. His cultural impact was further recognized with the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his contributions to American art and heritage.
