Matt Eaton - Untitled (Landscape 37), Original Aerosol Painting on Paper Framed
An original aerosol painting on paper titled "Untitled (Landscape 37)" by contemporary American artist Matt Eaton. The composition features overlapping organic forms and curved linear patterns in shades of green against a contrasting golden-yellow background. The layered shapes suggest botanical forms and natural vegetation, creating an abstract interpretation of a landscape. The work reflects Eaton's interest in the natural world and his exploration of color, pattern, and spatial relationships through abstraction. Using aerosol paint, the artist creates defined silhouettes and overlapping forms that emphasize the interaction between positive and negative space.
Provenance: From a private collection. Dimensions: 24"h x 18"w x 1"d (framed). In very good condition.
Artist Bio: Matt Eaton is a California-born, self-taught contemporary painter, gallery owner, and curator with more than three decades of artistic practice. His work draws inspiration from natural environments, including deserts, forests, coastlines, and changing atmospheric conditions. Rather than depicting specific locations, Eaton develops abstract compositions that explore the relationship between landscape, memory, and perception. His paintings incorporate layered colors, organic forms, and experimental processes, allowing compositions to develop through accumulation, revision, and spontaneous mark-making. Alongside his painting practice, Eaton has worked extensively in gallery management and exhibition curation.
