Lowell Blair Nesbitt - Tiger Lily, 1978 Signed Screenprint AP 9/30
An original screenprint in colors on paper titled "Tiger Lily" (1978) by American Photorealist artist Lowell Blair Nesbitt. Signed in pencil in the lower right and numbered in the lower left. The composition depicts a close-up view of a tiger lily in shades of yellow, orange, and red, with dark spotted petals set against a solid black background. The enlarged floral subject and detailed rendering reflect Nesbitt's characteristic approach to botanical imagery, emphasizing the natural forms, patterns, and textures of flowers. Known for his large-scale floral paintings and prints, Nesbitt frequently isolated individual blooms against contrasting backgrounds, creating compositions that bridge Photorealism and modern decorative art. This limited-edition serigraph represents one of the artist's recurring botanical subjects.
