Pair of vibrant Chinese color woodblock prints by artist Lao Si, featuring whimsical figural and landscape compositions rendered in bold saturated tones of green, red, blue, and black. Executed in an expressive folk-inspired style, the works combine stylized human and animal forms with abstracted natural environments and symbolic imagery. Both prints retain labels identifying Lao Si as a member of the Chinese Artists Association, the Chinese Engraving Artists Association, and the Jiangsu Engraving Artists Association. Presented in matching frames, the pair reflects the dynamic graphic traditions of late 20th century Chinese printmaking and contemporary woodcut art. Provenance: From a private collection in Birmingham, Michigan. Previously acquired from Donald Morris Gallery in 1989. Dimensions: 20.25”h x 23”w x 1.25”d / 21”h x 30”w x .5”d (framed).
