George Nelson for Herman Miller Miniature Chest 9 Drawer Vintage 1950s
A vintage George Nelson for Herman Miller Miniature Chest 9 Drawer circa 1950s. This is a very rare piece in the George Nelson collection. This is a very miniature version of Nelson's Thin Edge collection of dresser and cabinets, this version as a tabletop jewelry chest. It features a tall series of 9 pull out drawers of even size, each with small white pull handles. The sizing is delicate and intricate, but the construction is hardy and built to last. Each drawer very smoothly pulls out to reveal ample storage space for various items such as ties, necklaces, rings, hankies, and more. The top drawer features the Herman Miller tag as pictured, as well as a 5x4 organizer grid. The bottom of this piece has four small round rubber feet, as well as circular markings where the optional metal floor stand would have been installed. This piece is in very good vintage condition. It measures 23.25 inches tall, 10.5 inches wide, and 14 inches deep.
