Description
A contemporary biomorphic marble sculpture by Fritz Olsen. Hand etched signature and dated 1988 on the base. From a private collection. Dimensions: 30.5" h x 42"w x with a 12.75" x 14.75" base. In very good condition.
This dynamic work exemplifies Olsen’s mastery of form, featuring sinuous, interlocking curves that evoke movement and organic growth. Carved from richly veined marble in warm neutral tones of beige, cream, and brown, the sculpture balances solidity with a sense of motion and openness, anchored by a circular void at its center. Resting on a contrasting dark marble base, the piece captures Olsen’s refined approach to contemporary abstraction and his deep connection to natural materials.
