Description
Freestanding table lamp designed by Frederic Weinberg, circa late 1940s to early 1950s. The sculptural base is modeled as a rearing horse, executed in painted Durex with gilt and polychrome accents. The figure stands on an integral round base and supports a single socket beneath a drum shade. The stylized form and textured surface reflect Weinberg’s decorative approach to mid-century lighting design. Retains the character and material typical of the period. An example of American mid-century figural lighting sought-after by collectors of 20th-century design. From a private collection. Dimensions: 11”h x 7.5”w x 7.5”d. In very good vintage condition. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible.
