Aimee Cameron - Untitled (Abstract), 2020s Original Plaster & Mixed Media Canvas

An original plaster and mixed-media work on canvas by contemporary artist Aimee Cameron. The composition features a heavily textured, three-dimensional surface formed from layered plaster and fabric, creating an irregular arrangement of folds, ridges, and recessed areas. The surface incorporates shades of blue, turquoise, green, gray, white, and ochre, with dark outlines emphasizing the contours and depth of the relief. The work combines elements of painting and sculpture, with an emphasis on material, texture, and organic abstraction. Cameron's process involves an intuitive application of plaster and fabric, followed by carefully composed surface treatments that respond to the underlying forms. Inspired by aerial views of landscapes and bodies of water, her compositions explore natural patterns, movement, and the relationship between controlled and spontaneous processes.

Provenance: From a private collection. Dimensions: 29"h x 28.5"w x 2.75"w. In very good condition.

Aimee Cameron is a contemporary mixed-media artist whose practice explores the relationship between material, form, texture, and abstraction. Working primarily with plaster, fabric, and paint on canvas, she creates dimensional compositions that bridge traditional painting and sculptural relief. Her process combines spontaneous material manipulation with deliberate surface treatments, emphasizing the patterns and irregularities that emerge through layering. Drawing inspiration from aerial landscapes, bodies of water, and natural formations, Cameron's work examines movement, organic structures, and the interaction between physical materials and visual perception.
