Hand-carved verdite stone bust depicting a Turkana tribesman, signed “Justin” along the shoulder. Executed in richly mottled green and brown verdite, the sculpture portrays a stylized male figure with wrapped headdress, elongated neck adornments, and traditional jewelry rendered in a simplified modern African sculptural style. The polished stone surface highlights the natural color variation and veining within the material while emphasizing the expressive facial features and flowing contours of the carving. A decorative and collectible example of contemporary African stone carving traditions inspired by East African tribal portraiture. Provenance: From a private collection in Birmingham, Michigan.
