Multi-colored dining sets, glassware, art, jewelry, and racks and racks of suits that belonged to esteemed former president and CEO of The Weight Watchers Group, Florine Mark, will be available for purchase this week.

An estate sale for the late metro Detroit businesswoman and trailblazer will kick off Thursday at her home in Farmington Hills, confirmed co-owners of Le Shoppe Estate Sales, which is handling the effort. The Le Shoppe team said they were “honored” to handle the sale for the respected leader.

Mark died last year at the age of 90. She was revered for her support of other female leaders, was a noted voice in the Jewish community, and was lauded as a philanthropist in the wake of her passing.

On top of all that, she was a “fashionista,” said one Le Shoppe co-owner, Deborah Slobin. Mark left behind a grand trove of clothes up for sale.

Art available for purchase includes a serigraph of the work of Mexican painter Rufino Tamayo, an Op Art Victor Vasarely lithograph, and signed multiples of statues by George Segal, said another co-owner and art appraiser, Terri Stearn. Many of the pieces are from Mark’s Weight Watchers corporate office.

As for what is available from the kitchen of the woman who once owned the most Weight Watchers franchises in the world, there’s not a ton from that area of the home – but Mark loved to entertain and hosted many a fundraiser in the lower level of her home, Stearn said. As such, numerous pieces for such gatherings will be available.

An online listing for the estate sale also shows numerous children’s games and toys, shoes galore, statues and pottery for sale.

Mark collected pieces from all over, Stearn said.

“You can tell she traveled,” she said.

The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week at 31550 Franklin Fairway in Farmington Hills. The sale may be extended to Sunday, if necessary.
