An etching-aquatint on paper titled "L'Audition" by Lynn Shaler. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right and dated 1993. Annotated 25/100 mid bottom and titled bottom left. A lovely scene showcasing a grand piano in an elegant interior setting. Within the artwork is a monumental painting and sculptures which are a nod to Greek mythology and muses. From a private collection. Dimensions: 24"h x 27.5"w x .5"d (framed). In very good vintage condition.
Lynn Shaler (1955- ) is an American artist known for her color aquatint etchings. Many of her works feature locations in the city of Paris. Lynn Shaler studied printmaking at the University of Michigan and subsequently received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pratt Institute. In 1984, Shaler won a Fulbright scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies at Atelier 17 in Paris. She has produced more than 200 etchings since 1975. Her work can be found in collections at the BibliothEque nationale de France (Paris), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the Library of Congress (Washington D.C.), and the Victoria and Albert Museum (London). Shaler has lived in Paris since 1988.

While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
