An oil on board Untitled (Horse) by Swedish-American artist Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt. Hand signed on the lower right. The composition depicts a solitary horse grazing in a lush green field against a softly rendered landscape. Provenance: From the collection of Michael Thomas Sr., a respected architect and art dealer in Metro Detroit. Thomas was the founder and proprietor of the Metro Collection, a globally recognized gallery with an extensive online presence and international clientele. Dimensions: 21.5"h x 18.5"w x 1.5"d (framed). In very good condition. Full condition reports are available upon request.
Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt (Swedish-American, 1878-1955) was an accomplished painter and printmaker associated with the American Modernist movement. Trained at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Academie Julian in Paris, Nordfeldt achieved early success as an illustrator before becoming known for his bold compositions and masterful use of color and light. He exhibited widely throughout his career, including at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. His works are represented in major museum collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Nordfeldt's subjects ranged from portraiture and still life to landscapes and scenes of everyday life, reflecting his ability to merge realism with a distinctly modern sensibility.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
