Sydney Cash Signed 1995 Boiler Room Excitement Slumped Trifold Glass Sculpture

A contemporary glass sculpture titled "Boiler Room Excitement" by Sydney Cash. Etched signature on bottom and dated 1995. Cash began the process of “slumping glass” in the 1980s by working with nichrome wire. At high temperatures the wire becomes malleable and strong. Per the artist, “If an artist is focused on looking for beauty, they are taking the wrong approach,” Cash says. “Beauty arises on its own, you can’t force it.” This became his body of work called “The Trifold” where the glass cup is suspended by three elegant supporting legs. He created different variations playing with scale, color, lighting, mirrors, etc. In this example, he three words are reflected in the glass – “truth – magic – fun.” From a private collection. Dimensions: 11.25"h x 10"w x 8.5"d. In very good vintage condition.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
