A modern Pop Art lithographic book plate titled “Cubist Still Life with Vase and Flower (1973)” by Roy Lichtenstein. Hand signed in pencil on the upper right with an annotation of 12/100 on the upper left. Circa 1980s. A masterful example of Lichtenstein’s fusion of Pop Art with Cubist abstraction, the composition reinterprets still life through bold outlines, stylized shadows, and graphic patterns such as Ben-Day dots and crosshatching. Featuring fragmented floral forms and geometric planes in yellow, green, and black against a patterned backdrop, the piece showcases Lichtenstein’s playful dialogue with modern art history.
From a private collection; includes original Certificate of Authenticity. Dimensions: 16.25”h x 14”w x 1”d (framed). In very good vintage condition. Full condition reports are available upon request.
Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997) was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and James Rosenquist among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement. His work defined the premise of pop art through parody. He was most famous for his comic book style and was directly influenced by popular comic strips of the time. Lichtenstein's art can be found in countless museum collections internationally and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC holds the largest repository of the artist's work. Today, his paintings reach auction records in the millions, the highest being $165 million in 2017.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
