This striking drypoint etching by Pat Steir, Untitled (Waterfall) (1991), exemplifies her celebrated exploration of gesture, mark-making, and abstraction. Hand signed in pencil on the lower right with an annotation of 100/125 on the lower left. The composition features a bold vertical passage of dark ink cascading through a dynamic network of etched lines, evoking both the force and stillness of falling water. This work reflects Steir’s ongoing engagement with nature’s metaphors and her influential contributions to postmodern abstraction and conceptual painting. From a private collection. Pat Steir (1938- ) is an internationally acclaimed American painter and printmaker best known for her iconic Waterfall series. She has exhibited extensively in major museums worldwide, including solo shows at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Hirshhorn Museum. Her works are held in prestigious collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, the Tate, and the Guggenheim. A recipient of numerous honors, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a National Endowment for the Arts grant, Steir is celebrated as a leading figure in contemporary abstraction and postmodern painting.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
