Description
A contemporary postmodern multicolor ceramic wall hanging sculpture by Detroit ceramicist Kaiser Suidan. Circa 1990s. A unique assemblage of organic shapes which adds dimension within a space. Per the artist, abstract geometry and color create the illusion of form and space, and the awareness of the importance of these elements emerges from their presentation on the wall. I address the ordered system of a grid through the play of opposite words and color schemes, which give way to the free expression of sensuality, movement, and energy. From a private collection. Dimensions: 20.5”h x 15.5”w x 5.5”d. In very good vintage condition.
Kaiser Suidan is an artist, gallery owner, curator, instructor and mentor. He currently owns his own commercial building, home to Next Step Studio and Gallery, his workspace and adjoining art gallery in Ferndale, MI. While his passion for clay continues, the spectrum now includes other mediums as a result of Kaiser representing other artists from around the country as they look for their next step on their journey through the arts.
