Description
A contemporary oil and acrylic painting on canvas titled “Colorado Bound” by Jason Eatherly. Signed, titled, and dated 2015 on the verso. The composition showcases the gritty realism of a boxcar set against a dusky cityscape, with glowing, blue-lit windows hinting at nighttime activity. The focal point is a large, monochromatic mural of a crowned figure wearing a respirator mask—an homage to street artists and urban royalty. The intricate rendering of the train wheels, tracks, and rusted textures contrasts with the stylized graffiti, blending photorealism with street art sensibilities. Tags and scrawled details add authenticity, emphasizing Eatherly’s focus on graffiti culture, movement, and memory within industrial American settings.
From a private collection. Dimensions: 30”h x 30”w x 2.5”d (stretched, unframed). In very good condition. Full condition reports are available upon request.
