An edgy pop-art offset lithograph on paper titled “Rebel Without a Cause, James Dean” released from the Andy Warhol Estate. Printed by Te Nues Publishing Company in cooperation with the Andy Warhol Estate in 1990. This image is from Andy Warhol’s “Ad Series” which was based on massively successful corporate advertisements. The screenprints were originally printed in 1985 by the Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, Inc. New York. The image of James Dean is taken from the Rebel Without a Cause movie poster. A unique composition showing a ghostly James Dean contrasted with Japanese script on the left. From a private collection. Dimensions: 21”h x 17”w x 1”d (framed). In good vintage condition. Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American visual artist, film director, and producer who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, advertising, and celebrity culture that flourished by the 1960s, and span a variety of media, including painting, silkscreening, photography, film, and sculpture. Some of his best-known works include the silkscreen paintings Campbell's Soup Cans (1962) and Marilyn Diptych (1962), the experimental films Empire (1964) and Chelsea Girls (1966), and the multimedia events known as the Exploding Plastic Inevitable (1966-67). Today, Warhol's art can be viewed in countless museums and the value of Andy Warhol's work has been on an endless upward trajectory since his death in 1987. In May 2022, Shot Sage Blue Marilyn (1964) sold for $195 million at Christie's, becoming the most expensive American artwork sold at auction.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.

 

While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
