A postmodern illustration drawing in graphite and colored pencil titled “Study – Blueprint for a Perfect Lover (Male)” by Andre Sable. Signed and dated 1983 on the lower right and titled lower right. This artwork fuses anatomical study, erotic fantasy, and satirical commentary. Executed in pencil with soft blue and red accents, the drawing features schematics of the male form with idealized measurements, medical-style grids, tattoos, and personal attributes. It reads like a dreamlike technical plan, blending visual wit with cultural critique, and stands as a compelling artifact of 1980s conceptual and queer art.

Andre Sable was an American artist known for his provocative postmodern figural drawings and conceptual illustrations. His work, which gained recognition in progressive art circles during the 1980s, was featured in regional gallery exhibitions and collected by early advocates of queer and alternative art. Sable’s draftsmanship and inventive social satire earned him a cult following among collectors of avant-garde works on paper.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
