Jim Stella (b. 1954, Detroit, Michigan) is a Detroit-based contemporary artist known for expressive paintings that combine text, symbolism, and elements drawn from everyday life. He studied sculpture and anatomy at the Pratt Institute in New York and later attended the University of Michigan on a medical illustration scholarship, graduating with high honors. Stella continued his studies at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he studied watercolor under artist Richard Jersey. In addition to his painting practice, Stella worked in interior design and woodworking during the 1980s and 1990s, applying his interest in materials and color to interior environments. His work is associated with the Detroit contemporary art scene and often reflects personal observations and memory through layered imagery and text. His paintings are represented in regional collections and are collected by those interested in Detroit artists and contemporary urban-influenced art.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery. While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
