Description
A contemporary conceptual sculpture that is a satirical celebration of McDonalds's by Michigan artist Noah Alonso. Circa 1990s. A golden take-out box becomes the base of a pedestal which suspends a crater-like globe made of ceramic. In the center of the globe is the statue of liberty with half of the McDonalds's Golden Arches with a $100 bill pattern. Under the globe is a portrait of Ronald McDonald which is reflected on the mirror on top of the take out box and the motif is further explored with the Golden Arches in a prism set on the mirror. The sculpture sparks a discussion about the wealth generated from fast-food industries by quite literally putting McDonalds on a golden pedestal. Yet the crater like globe could be a reference to the destruction of fast-food industries and the only industry still standing in a future dystopia. Noah Alonso was the former head of the Michigan State Art Department from 1962-1994. His artworks can be found in various collections around Michigan and the continental United States. In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
