Description
A unique collector’s item for design and furniture enthusiasts – a contemporary chaise lounge made by a group of Cranbrook graduate students for a woodworking final class project. The original owner purchased it directly from Cranbrook during a student show exhibition, circa 1990s. The intention of the assignment was to create a furniture item using jointed wood that is pieced together with no hardware. The chaise is a sculptural model and is not made to be sat in. Although it is not functional as furniture, it is a conversation piece from the prestigious Cranbrook schools. From a private collection. Dimensions: 35.5”h x 24.25”w x 65”d x 11” seat height x 21” seat depth. In very good vintage condition.
