Description
A modern op art serigraph on paper titled “Centros 3rd State” by Brian Halsey. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right, titled mid bottom, with an annotation of 29/35 on the bottom left. From the Microcosms Portfolio published in 1978. The artworks were created to “visualize an ideal”. The pieces represent the Trinity and often involve “emanating light in ordered structures, suspended in deep space,” an attempt to point to cosmic order through mathematics. Unlike many artists, Halsey was totally involved with the print making process from mixing his own inks, to cutting all stencils and often physically printing many of his own editions. From a private collection. Dimensions: 16”h x 16”w .75”d (framed). In good vintage condition with some areas of foxing.
