A Sergio Bustamante hanging parrot sculpture. This wonderful, playful metal sculpture is constructed with layers of copper and brass. This piece consists of the large parrot, and the circular hanging perch the parrot hangs on. The parrot features beautiful detailing throughout, the colors of the copper and brass are subtle but pop with their careful composition. The eyes of the parrot feature a lovely green color that pops on the contrasting copper backing of the face. The entire parrot appears to be perched carefully upon the circular structure, but is actually very stable on a large underside rod as pictured above. This piece is in very good condition. It measures 40 inches tall, 13.5 inches wide, and 10 inches deep.
Sergio Bustamante (1949- ) is a Mexican artist and sculptor. He was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, in 1949, and studied architecture at the University of Guadalajara. Bustamante's first art exhibition showcased paintings and papier-mâché figures at the Galeria Misracha in Mexico City in 1966. In 1975, Bustamante was part of a group of artists that established the ""Family Workshop Studio"" in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. In the mid-1970s, his practice expanded to include wood and bronze sculpture.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
