Concetta Mason Dream Counselor Signed 1986 Postmodern Art Glass Wall Sculpture

Vibrant and architecturally playful mixed-media glass wall sculpture titled "Dream Counselor" by American studio glass artist Concetta Mason, dated 1986 and signed along the lower portion. Executed during the height of the postmodern movement, the work incorporates layered fused glass elements with bold graphic patterning and intersecting forms. 

The composition centers on a dynamic, ribbon-like structure featuring geometric tessellations in teal and yellow, projecting forward from a dark central panel framed by satin-finished lavender blocks. The interplay of opaque, translucent, and textured surfaces creates depth, shadow, and a subtle sense of movement. The asymmetrical silhouette and color blocking echo the design language of 1980s postmodernism, with influences reminiscent of Memphis Milano and architectural abstraction. Designed for wall display, the sculpture functions as both a decorative and conceptual object, merging studio glass techniques with painterly composition. From a private collection. Concetta Mason (b. 1952) is an American glass artist. Her work is included in the collections of the Seattle Art Museum, the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, the Hunter Museum of American Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.

While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
