Description
Wool tapestry by French artist Hervé Lelong titled "Les Fruits de l’Été (Fruits of Summer)", created in 1977. Original tag with artist's signature and item details on verso. Limited edition of 54/250. The composition depicts a richly colored arrangement of birds, foliage, and seasonal fruits including pumpkins and flowers set within a dense decorative landscape. The imagery is rendered in vibrant tones of blue, yellow, red, and orange against a dark ground, with stylized forms and layered botanical elements typical of Lelong’s textile designs.
Lelong was known for producing detailed tapestry compositions that combined natural subjects with decorative pattern and color. His work reflects the continued tradition of French textile design in the late 20th century while incorporating modern graphic elements. A signed limited-edition tapestry such as this offers collectors an example of Lelong’s textile work and the revival of decorative wall tapestries during the 1970s.

All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery. While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
