A monumental collection of vintage silver gelatin prints by renowned Hollywood photographer Whitey Schafer (1902-1951), celebrated for his work as head of Paramount's and later Columbia's still photography departments. Studio stamps, inscriptions, or press notations on the verso. This suite of portraits captures iconic actors and actresses of the 1940s Golden Age of cinema in striking studio compositions, ranging from glamorous headshots to expressive publicity stills. An important collection of mid-20th century Hollywood portraiture by one of the era's most influential studio photographers. From a private collection. Dimensions: 20"h x 16"w (unframed with matte, per artwork); 15.75"h x 12.5" / 14"h x 11"w (no matte). In very good condition. Full condition reports are available upon request.

We ship world-wide and quote through USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, GPX, and with multiple domestic and international freight shipping companies to get you the best price on delivery, and we offer free pick-up for anyone who wants to handle their own delivery.
In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
