An modern acyrlic on canvas by Ray Frost Fleming. Signed lower right. Circa 1970s. From a private collection in Metro Detroit; originally purchased from Robert Kidd Gallery. Dimensions: 51.5"h x 61.5"w x 2.25"w (framed). In very good condition. 

This composition features sweeping gestural strokes and layered earthy tones of ochre, umber, taupe, and ivory. Ray Frost Fleming (American, 20th Century) was a Cranbrook Academy of Art graduate, acclaimed studio artist, and co-owner of the distinguished Robert Kidd Gallery in Birmingham, Michigan. Celebrated for his discerning eye and contributions to 20th-century art and design, Fleming played a key role in elevating modern and contemporary aesthetics in the Midwest. His collection and legacy, represented by Heritage Auctions, reflect his deep connection to Cranbrook’s influential design lineage—featuring works by icons such as Harry Bertoia, Julius Schmidt, Deborah Butterfield, and Larry Rivers. Fleming’s own Abstract Expressionist paintings continue to be recognized for their dynamic energy, layered compositions, and strong modernist sensibility.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.

While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
