Description

A unique mid-century modern oil painting on burlap depicting an artful display of violins by Nell LaMarsh. Signed bottom right as well as verso. Dated 1966. A lively composition that would be an ideal accent for a modern musical themed room. Nell LaMarsh of Ukrainian was born in 1934 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was raised and educated in Leamington, Ontario, taking up teaching as a profession. After moving to Toronto, she pursued a natural talent and began serious painting in 1963. In 1964, she began her heavy “palette-knife technique” on burlap. Her work is permanently displayed at La Casa de las Americas – Toronto and Les Galleries de Renee – Detroit. From a private collection. Dimensions: 24.5"h x 48.75"w x .75"d (framed). In good vintage condition.

All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.

While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
